A book I'm reading—which began life as a series of blog posts—gave me the idea to go public with some of my creative process (without giving away the full thesis or argument, of course …). During the course of my doctoral studies, I found that I could resolve writing blocks (or simpler questions about how to proceed) by writing out how I was feeling about them and what it might have been that kept me from writing more. So, for my book chapter and also a book proposal I am currently working on, I may post some of those musings instead of merely pondering them myself.
